Play Therapy
It is a special form of therapy that focuses on children's need to express themselves using games and toys. Children love to play games, games are the most natural environment for them and where they can express themselves most comfortably. Children's behavioral patterns can be observed very easily in games. Children cannot talk about their feelings like adults because they do not have the ability to understand and express their feelings as much as adults. When children are given the opportunity to express their own experiences and feelings through play, the healing effect begins. By working with therapists trained in this field, children can re-enact emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, traumatic experiences, divorce, loss or disappointment that affect their behavior in their games in a safe environment. Thus, by using games and toys, children are helped to communicate, solve problems and change their negative behaviors.
